Hi everyone,

We have some very exciting news – in addition to our Ohauiti location, Trintiy Valley Farms is now open out at Plummers point! We are situated on Plummers Point Road at the Lava East complex.  Some of the excellent features we are able to provide at this new location include;

• A Cafe and a Restaurant specialising in Thai cuisine
• Trekking (one hour) through a kiwi fruit orchard*
• Birthday parties with a selection of food from the Lava East Restaurant
• Catered corporate functions
• Pony rides
• Private and group lessons
• Eftpos and credit card facilities
• Power, including lighting in the stable area and office/tack shed
• Five stables and four covered yards
• Good toilet facilities
• Open weekends (we will be closed, at Plummers Point, Monday and Tuesday)
• An arena that can be viewed from the restaurant

*In the future we are looking at doing some longer beach treks for our more experienced clients.

To all our existing clients, Trinity Valley Farms Ohauiti will continue to run as normal. But, you may want to go for a drive to check out our other location, say hello to the horses (and us!) and have a coffee or a meal at the cafe/restaurant.

Important Notice ~ Please Read!

The week of the 28^th June, Trinity Valley Farms will be closed for after school lessons.

The school term is eleven weeks long and lessons run for ten weeks.

This gives Carla and I a chance to have a few days away to recharge our batteries and it is a great opportunity for our horses to do the same.

Term 3 lessons will commence on the 19^th July, 2010. Please confirm your intentions to ride in term 3 with Pete or Carla.

Lessons will be available during the holidays for all who are interested.  Please confirm days and times as our routines are different over these two weeks.

Hi Everyone!!

OMG July school holidays are coming up very quickly!!  Some of you know me well and have already book for the coming holiday’s. There are still spaces available so if you are interested please contact us to save your spot. (Go to “What we offer” to see what we are doing these holiday’s.)

If you have missed a lesson because of illness or other commitments, we will be available to organise a catch up lesson during the holiday’s. Please speak to Carle or Pete to arrange.

Saturday lessons continue in the holiday’s for those who are interested. If you would like to start riding with us, the holidays are a good time for us to accommodate you as many of our term riders do take a brake. If you are interested in one of our holiday programmes or would like private lessons give us a call.

We are currently running our school holiday programmes, and now it decides to rain!! Oh well at least the farmers will be happy.

Term 2 will be starting soon. If you have already registered with us I will be in touch with you to confirm day and times early next week, if you are wanting to sign up for term lessons and have not yet contacted us please do so imediately so that we can fit you in. Spaces are limited but we will do our best to accomodate you.

As you can see we have finally found the time to update our website.  We hope you can easily find what you’re looking for and enjoy scrolling through our new photos.  We’re already off to a busy start to 2010 with our great summer holiday programs finishing in January and now we are well into the first term with over 75 regular clients on our books! That works out to a lot of riding lessons each week!  However, our wonderful lesson horses are as happy and faithful as ever. We sadly saw the loss of two members of the Trinity Valley Farms family over the last few months. Dave our barn cat was run over and killed on December 26th 2009 and we had to have Lady, one of our lesson horses, put down on the 5th of February 2010 due to her arthritis.  Both dave and Lady are buried on the farm and we are in the process of having memorial plaques made in their honour. We have had some new additons to the farm – Leo the goat who was Carla’s Christmas present,  two wild Kaimanawa horses, Amber and Phoenix, who are coming along nicely, Golly our four year old gelding who is already part of our troup of lesson horses and an Appaloosa gelding called Louie (see our ‘Horses for Sale’ page). Pete and I (Carla) are enjoying being a part of the  Tauranga Western Riding Club. We both competed in the Tauranga A&P Show in January and Pete (and Maggie) and I (and Handbag) jointly came home with nine placings including three first place ribbons and a Championship ribbon (won by Handbag and I in the Western Halter Class). We are running a horsemanship clinic at the Riding for the Disabled on Saturday 27th February, aiming at helping the volunteers and members of the community to understand and communicate effectively with their horses. We will be taking Maggie and Mini-Me to use as demonstration horses. We hope your year is going well and that you are enjoying your horses as much as we are! Please remember, if you are paying for term lessons, and are unable to attend please let us know with at least 24 hours notice, at which point we will endeavor to reschedule a catch up lesson that is at a suitable time for both parties. Less then 24 hours notice will not guarantee a catch up lesson, and there are No Refunds.

Horse Rescue & Rehabilitation

Trinity Valley Farms is very passionate about not seeing horses neglected, or misunderstood. We endeavor to re-educate and re-home abandoned/neglected horses. We also educate those who have taken on the responsibility of owning a horse, and have not realised the commitment and responsibilities this involves.

If you are aware of a horse that is not enjoying its’ family or a family that is not understanding their horse, please inform us and we will do what we can to help.
